Many clients come to us after trying to achieve their desired look with a hair transplant procedure.

Hair Transplant with SMP

In the 70’s and 80’s many men underwent procedures popular at the time ie. alopecia reduction, scalp reduction or plugs and now wish to use SMP to achieve the look they desire.

Hair transplants are exactly that – moving hair from the area of the scalp which is immune to Dihydrotestosterone (the hormone that affects hair loss) and moving it to where clients wishes to regain permanent hair growth.

There are many great hair transplant results and unfortunately, equally as many bad ones. Hair transplants are scarless, however, the best form of transplant is said to be the most recent FUE method for its diffused and undetectable scars spread evenly in the donor area.

A side effect of many early transplants is the exposure of scalp scars which were once covered by hair. Scalp MicroPigmentation is an easy, non-surgical and medication-free way of camouflaging scarring, adding the illusion of density to previous hair loss surgical procedures.

Caitlin has worked as a hair transplant technician for 10 years and has extensive knowledge of past and present hair transplant procedures.

Current day hair transplant procedures include the Follicular Unit Extraction harvesting method (or FUE) and the less popular for it’s scarring Follicular Unit Transfer also known as FUT. FUT is known for its obvious lineal scars across the back of the scalp.

Caitlin was mentored by Dr. Mario Marzola, who has been involved with hair restoration procedures for more than 40 years.

Caitlin was certified by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in Alaska in 2011 as a hair transplant technician completing the Tissue Prep Training course practice – her work and planting technique is recognised internationally, she was asked to present at the 2017 Annual Conference in Prague as a keynote speaker.
